About Nate

Not a reset, but an honest step forward.

After 30 years of public service, the tempo finally stopped.

Nate spent twenty of those years in the United States Army and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4). He served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and took part in humanitarian missions, including the response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. He calls it an honor to have served this country.

These days there is no rank, no title, and no tempo. He’s slowing down, taking life one day at a time, and seeing what comes next.

He isn’t perfect, and he’ll tell you so. He’s just finding his way in this world and appreciating the time he has on this earth.

Wander with Nate is him sharing that journey, with Scout out front hunting the good stuff.

Ask Scout about Nate

Wandering is not the same as drifting.

To Nate, drifting is going wherever the current takes you. Wandering is walking on purpose without needing to see the whole map, and trusting that the next step will be clear when you get there.

What he’s after: nothing to prove, nobody to impress, and enough quiet to be grateful for an ordinary day.

What keeps him steady

Nate believes in the Almighty, and he’s a practicing Stoic. For him that means working on what is his to control (his choices, his effort, and his attitude) and letting the rest go.

He doesn’t judge anybody’s road. If you’re in a season of change yourself, you’re welcome here. You don’t need to have it figured out to come along.
